What are we all about

CP Steels was established to acquire and develop the business of C. Downhill Steels which was a well respected and established Steel Stockholder based in West London. After acquisition, the business was transferred to a new two acre site in Watlington, South Oxfordshire.

The company has embarked on a major investment and expansion program installing the very latest sawing and fabrication technology, efficient handling systems and new computer technology which will enable us to provide our customers with the quality service and product they demand.

Our product range is aimed at the construction and structural fabrication industries and as such we have a very extensive stock of beams, channels, hollow sections and other structural section.

Local business
The company services London and the home counties on a daily basis, with next day delivery available on most stock materials. To assist with delivery for builders and construction industry customers our purpose built vehicles are fitted with a crane offload facility for self offloading and to simplify payment procedures we accept credit card and cash on delivery payments.

We are able to offer cut to size materials on fast delivery at very competitive rates using our recently installed ‘Kaltenbach’ sawing line which can cut beams up to the largest size manufactured and can also mitre the ends.

In addition to our stocks of steel beams, sections and plate we can supply ‘Weldmesh’, Expanded Metal, Open Flooring Grid, Reinforcing Mesh and bar, Stainless Steel and Aluminum.

Collections
CP Steel welcomes customers who would like to collect their orders. Our site is easily found and can accept vehicles of any size.

We can usually accept an order for either cut or uncut material for same day collection, but would strongly advise customers to phone through their orders in advance to enable us to pick or process the material prior to collection.

Our opening hours for collections are: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Fabrication
We have for many years offered structural fabrications to clients own drawings and include many of the UK’s leading house builders and construction companies amongst our clientel.

Exports
The company is experienced in exporting steel direct to clients overseas and also to their UK forwarding agents. We have in the past exported to Asia, Africa and Europe.

We are particularly well suited to exports of small to medium sized orders where quantities do not lend themselves to mill production or where ex stock delivery is a requirement.
